Tom Zahner is American born, British educated with a Swiss passport. The son of a Pan Am pilot he was educated in England, Germany, and California. In England at the renowned Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, he learned the fine art of the thespians. He has appeared in over 90 theatre productions, including the German premieres of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods, Jean Michel Schoenberg’s Les Miserables in Duisburg and the British Jaques Brel project Anonymous Society, earning him the coveted Barclay's Bank Award for Best Musical in Britain, and Edinburgh’s Fringe First and The Total Theater Award. 

Tom is a firm member of ETD, having performed in The Mousetrap, The Odd Couple, The Zoo Story, The Messiah and the one man show Beat the Devil.

Currently appearing in the productions Lady Bess in St. Gallen and Cabaret in Dortmund.

As voice-over artist, Tom has become the international voice of many global players.

Der gebürtige US-Amerikaner ist Schweizer Staatsbürger und wuchs in England, Deutschland und Kalifornien auf. Seine Schauspielausbildung  erhielt er am „Berkeley Repertory Theater“ und an der Londoner „Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art“. Bei den legendären Berliner Kammerspielen wurde er zunächst als Tischler und dann als Schauspieler engagiert und begann seine Karriere als „Hühnerbeine“ von Baba Jagas Haus in dem Märchen „Die verzauberten Brüder“.

Mittlerweile war er in ueber 90 Theaterproduktionen zu sehen, so auch in den deutschen Erstaufführungen von Sondheims Into the Woods und  Schoenbergs Les Miserables in Duisburg. Stolz ist er auf zwei Auszeichnungen besonderer Art: Einen „Fringe First“ des Theater Festivals in Edinburgh und einen „Barclay´s Bank Award for Best Musical in Britain“  als Teil der Produktion Anonymous Society. 

Laufende Produktionen sind Lady Bess in St. Gallen und Cabaret in Dortmund.

Tom ist ein Dauergast beim ETD und war zu sehen in The Mousetrap, The Odd Couple, The Zoo Story, The Messiah und im Einpersonenstueck Beat the Devil.

Als Sprecher ist er International taetig.
