Lord Capulet - Owen Lindsay

Owen is an Irish actor, director and movement director, trained at Drama Centre London. Originally from Dublin but raised in Auckland, New Zealand, he attended the University of Auckland, majoring in English, Media and Theatre Studies, before moving to Ireland in late 2005 to pursue acting full time. This path eventually led him to London, where he attained an MA Classical Acting, and subsequently to Vienna where he joined the ensemble of Open House Theatre, an English-language company in the Austrian capital.  

Acting credits include: Tartuffe, Julius Caesar (Prague Shakespeare Company), Brothers of Thunder, Sherlock Holmes: A Study in Scarlet, Much Ado About Nothing (Open House Theatre, Vienna), Someone Who´ll Watch Over Me (Human Compass Theatre, Cardiff), The Comedy of Errors (Clock Tower Theatre, Cardiff), King Lear (National Theatre London), See How They Run (C&G Productions, London), 1984 (Selladoor Theatre, UK Tour), Dracula (Catford Broadway Theatre, London), Daniel Deronda (Traffic of the Stage, London), Love´s Labours Lost, Henry V (Cambridge Shakespeare Festival), Wozzeck (Daguerrotype Theatre, Dublin) A Midsummer Night´s Dream (Fast+Loose Theatre, Dublin), Macbeth, Othello (The Venue Theatre, Ratoath), Romeo & Juliet (Archipela Productions, Auckland), Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night´s Dream, Spring Awakening (Stage 2 Productions, Auckland).  

As a director, past credits include: Great Expectations (VETA, Vienna), An Inspector Calls, The Effect (Open House Theatre, Vienna), Skin Tight, Slaughterhouse, Normal, Antenora (Restless Ecstasy, Dublin and London), the Ukrainian-language play Толік-молочар (InAviva, Kyiv) and the Operas Suor Angelica and La Clemenza di Tito (Giornata Opera, London). His production of Skin Tight at the New Theatre Dublin, which he directed and choreographed, was nominated for an Irish Times Theatre Award for movement direction.
