Dorothee Föllmer studied acting at the Zurich University of the Arts.

Since then she has played at various city and state theaters in Germany, such as the Zurich Playhouse, Nürnberg State Theater, Kiel City Theater and Tübingen State Theater.

In 2009 she moved to Cologne, where she was very productive with her own projects and playing in the theater off-scene.

Since 2011 she has been working as a linklater voice teacher at the Folkwang University in Essen and has now been relieved since 2021 at the University of Music and Dance in Cologne.

Dorothee Föllmer can be seen in various film and television productions, such as "The Public Prosecutor", "Sankt Maik", "In the Fog", "A Life" etc...

She rehearses and teaches in the studio 3.27 of the Kunsthaus Rhenania in Cologne and gives small readings there from time to time.

Dorothee Föllmer studierte Schauspiel an der Hochschule der Künste in Zürich.

Seitdem spielte sie an diversen Stadt- und Staatstheatern in Deutschland, wie dem Schauspielhaus Zürich, Staatstheater Nürnberg, Stadttheater Kiel und Landestheater Tübingen.

2009 verschlägt es sie nach Köln wo sie mit Ihren eigenen Projekten und in der Theater Off-Scene sehr produktiv ist.

Seit 2011 ist sie als Sprecherzieherin an der Folkwang Universität in Essen tätig und jetzt seit 2021 abgelöst an der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Köln.

Zusehen ist Dorothee Föllmer in diversen Produktionen im Film und Fernsehen, wie dem „Der Staatsanwalt“, „Sankt Maik“, „Im Nebel“, „Ein Leben“ etc…

Im Atelier 3.27 des Kunsthauses Rhenania in Köln probt und unterrichtet sie und hält dort von Zeit zu Zeit kleinere Lesungen.
